9 things about yourself

8 Sep

1. Feeding residents pureed food makes me gag. Maybe it’s the way they pile all the foods onto the same plate, so they inevitably mix together? Maybe it’s because they insist on serving it with cottage cheese? (not dissing cottage cheese here, I was a total fan in my pre-vegan days. It just looks that much more nasty when it’s mixing with green mush. just sayin’)

2. I am addicted to True Blood – total guilty pleasure, and I feel like a dork.

3. I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels which makes me feel even dorkier.

4. The best part about working in geriatrics is that you can pass gas at work and NO ONE will think it was you. I discovered this by accident.

5. I could live off of cereal. It’s a vital staple food.

6. I tried to read the Hobbit, but Tolkien’s tendency to over-describe every.little.thing. made it impossible for me to get through it.

7. if I am not into a book by chapter 3 or 4, I’m not reading it.

8. My husband, my mom, my grand-maman and I are ALL Leo’s. My mom’s partner is also a Leo. I often joke that our family is a Lion’s Den, and secretly hope that my future first-born will be a Leo as well.

9. I was OBSESSED with Belle from La Belle et La Bete (Beauty and the Beast) when I was a child. To this day, she is still my fave Disney Princess. Oh, and I always liked beast better when he was still Beast. For some reason I was always disappointed when he finally turned into a prince.

Totally agree on the Beast thing! I totally don’t like the man-Beast.
