Do you believe in magic?

6 May

in a young girls’ heart

Ok, OK… I’m done with the song lyric titles.

I figure I’ll cut right to the chase and spare you the little story about a spoiled man named Britton whose lover baked all their bread all the way from scratch, the tear-jerking details of the young woman kneading bread by hand, and dirtying about 3 bowls, a measuring cup and countless measuring spoons just to satisfy his insatiable appetite and massive carbohydrate needs.

It’s a sad, sad tale, but the happy ending has finally come! Introducing the CBK-200 Bread Maker from Cuisinart.

Ho yeah.

Busted this thing out this morning hell-bent on making bread. I never understood what all the fuss was about! I thought it was like a rice maker, in that it just COOKS the rice for you. Oh no. I was so wrong. THis baby not only cooks the bread, it does EVERYTHING including knead it. You just stuff the ingredients in, and turn it on. I even comes with a measuring spoon and a measuring cup!!! You don’t even have to mix it. No mixing, no kneading, no nothing.

Magic.

And there is this little window you can see everything through! I spent the better part of 10 minutes waiting for the thing to finish pre-heating so that I could watch it knead the bread. Fascinating stuff. Even Britton was invited to watch after I screamed “OH MY GAWD!!!! IT’S KNEADING IT!!!! COME SEEEEEE!!!! QUICK!!!!”

Did you know this baby can even make jam !?!?!?! JAM!!!

that is all.
